Net Zero Day

ETH Net Zero Day banner

What does a Net Zero future look like?
What is ETH doing to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions?
And how can you contribute?

Until now, we do not know what it feels like to be part of a climate-neutral university. The path to net zero is like an expedition with a lot to discover, learn and obstacles to overcome. Success is not guaranteed. But by joining forces, we can make significant progress towards climate neutrality as part of the "ETH Net Zero" program.

Join us for the first ETH Net Zero Day, co-organized by ETH Sustainability, Student Project House (SPH), external page Circular Horizon, and the Student Sustainability Committee (SSC) on Tuesday, 28 May at the Student Project House, city campus from 1-9.45pm. This event is designed to engage students and employees in ETH's expedition to net zero.

At the event, you will hear about the "ETH Net Zero" program and how ETH Sustainability, SSC, and SPH are working on reducing emissions. Additionally, there will be inputs from researchers around net zero at ETH and on a societal scale. Afterwards, you can participate in a 3-hour hackathon, working on different projects related to food, waste and communications - or join the Focus Sustainability workshop on "How to secure funding for your sustainability project". After the pitches, the event will end with an apero and networking.
