GenAI Challenge: Share your best practices and win great prizes

As part of a competition organised by the ETH Library, students and staff at ETH are being given the opportunity to share their insights and best practices for the effective use of generative AI tools (genAI). The three best examples will be rewarded with vouchers from the ETH Store worth up to CHF 500.

As the adoption of genAI tools is transforming academic practices, this competition seeks to highlight innovative, practical uses of AI, fostering knowledge-sharing and community-driven expertise at ETH Zurich.

Competitors are encouraged to submit short, structured descriptions or demonstrations that detail how they integrate genAI into their daily work, from research and teaching/learning to project and data management.

How to Participate?

The competition is open for submissions from 14 January to 31 March 2025, with an award ceremony to be held in May. Participants can submit individual or team entries, and all submissions will be reviewed by a jury of experts.

Winners will receive gift vouchers to the ETH Store worth up to CHF 500 and their work will be featured at the award ceremony. Selected best practices will also be displayed on the ETH Library website and incorporated into ETH Zurich’s growing genAI resources.

Submissions can be made via the submission page on Moodle

Why Participate?

In addition to recognition and prizes, participants will contribute to a growing repository of genAI knowledge at ETH Zurich, aiding peers who seek practical advice on using these AI tools responsibly and effectively. This competition offers the chance to connect with like-minded AI users and support ETH Library’s mission of fostering information literacy, including digital literacy.
