2015 is the International Year of Light. Inspired by this theme, Scientifica 2015 will focus on light and enlightenment from 5 to 6 September.

Without light there would be no imaging, no high-speed internet, no tattoo removal, no visual recognition – and no life. Researchers will be presenting their projects in short talks and at more than 60 exhibition booths. Laser experiments, a chemistry show and a flying robot show, magic physics, science slams and family-friendly activities round out the varied programme.

The exhibition kicks off with a private viewing from 6 to 9 pm on Friday, 4 September in the main buildings of ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. Current staff and students of both universities as well as alumni and friends are cordially invited to this special preview.

Be inspired by science! The programme (in German) is now available on the Scientifica website, with details of all the events in chronological order: external page www.scientifica.ch.
