ETH Zurich's goal is to minimise obstacles as much as possible or ideally eliminate them completely. The university should be designed according to the principle of ‘Design for all’ so that all people have largely unrestricted access to the buildings and services.
"Design for all" or "universal design" is an international design concept that shapes environments, technologies and processes in such a way that they can be used by everyone, or as many people as possible, without further adaptation or specialisation.
